Highly knowledgeable with friendly and skilled staff. The fair price level doesn't hurt, either.

Utterdahl won't just sell you a pair of glasses and then let you sink or swim, and more impressively they'll let you know if you're about to do something stupid even if it hurts their short-term bottom line.

I was once gently steered away from a particular style of frames because the glass, with my prescription, would have ended up being just a smidge too fragile. I've also come in with frames in various states of manglement and have gotten them straightened out for free.

Ten years ago my plan was to just get a prescription and then get some glasses from the 'net, but their competence and the great way I was treated led me to reconsider on the spot. Several sets of glasses later I'm an extremely satisfied customer. This is what an optician should be like! Keep up the good work.

Edit: Google didn't want to accept this review because it was "low quality". I'm adding this section to see if that passes their bots. Like, I'm writing a glowing review because I really like the place. It's great. Maybe I should say something negative to offset all the earlier praise? I can say that Mr Utterdahl has retired, which is unfortunate, but the new optician in charge is great, too. So boo, because the GOAT himself is gone, but yay, because the standards are still being upheld.

Is that enough, Google? Am I high quality now? Anyway, this place rocks.
